Bodiam Belle

I recently visited Bodiam Castle in East Sussex – a spectacular late medieval moated castle. It was built in 1385 by Sir Edward Dalyngrigge, a former knight of Edward III, supposedly at the request of Richard II in order to defend the surrounding area from French invasion. The National Trust was bequeathed the castle in 1926.

You may recognise from many films and adverts including Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Saxon’s "Power and the Glory", Enyas "The Celts", Huntingdon Castle in the third season of Robin of Sherwood (yay!), Doctor Who "The Kings Demons", Knightmare … and most recently briefly on a Walkers Crisps advert!

I only had my humble cellphone camera with me on the day, but decided to have a play, to see if I could capture some of those magic movie moments…

Hope you like!
