Pumpkin Fun!

Evening all!
Wow – sorry it’s been so long since I last posted – thanks for all your lovely e-mails, IMs  and PMs – you guys rock!
I hope you’re all keeping well – i’m very well and happy thanks – life’s good and getting better each day!
Last weekend I passed my first Kick Boxing grade (was gruelling but fun!), and tomorrow evening, i’m going to see Michael Praed and Susan Penhaligon playing Stephen King’s ‘Misery’ at the Kings Head Theatre in Islington – and may even get a chance to meet them back stage after!
I know it’s a little early for Halloween, but after seeing the stuff in the shops already, I couldn’t resist doing a couple of Pumpkin / Jack-O-Lantern images.

Space 1999 Tribute

Evening all!
Well going through a bit of a recent retro Sci Fi phase. How many of you are old enough to remember the classic Space 1999 series from the 1970s?
Hmm – only us oldies then!
Well anyhow – I knocked together this scene for one of the Vue Forums.
I then went off to raid the NASA image library for some hi-resolution images of the Earth which I then mapped onto  a large 3D sphere and had goodly amount of fun animating a spinning globe and zooming in.
Well there ya go – another couple of piccys from the Trelawney Archive!
See you all soon!

Queen of the Incas!

Hi all !
Sorry it’s been so long since i’ve updated – life is going really well, and i’ve been kept pretty busy recently.
How are you all doing?
Today I are mostly trying out … Displacement Mapping. (woo!)
"Do what?" , I hear you cry?
Well it’s a 3D graphics technique that allows you to make surfaces appear uneven, but unlike traditional Bump Mapping (often seen in 3D computer games), Displacement mapping actually deform the surface of a model to get some great effects.
In these examples the motifs have been made to look like they’ve been hammered out of the gold headpiece and armour.
Hope you like. – Take care!

My New Laptop

Well not really ( I wish! ), but if I had a new laptop – I wouldn’t go and plonk it in water either…
Go figure – i’m just in a happy mood!
I also got a credit on the Product Tour Page for E-On Software’s Vue 5 Esprit – whoa!

I’ll try to make some space for a full-sized version for anyone that wants to use this as a Desktop – or just e-mail me:

Have a nice day!
